Technology tip of the day:

Learn the language

It is called "Texting" or "IMing" and it refers to the sometimes complex language of abbreviations and acronyms that people use to communicate via cell phone Text Messages and online Instant Messages. 

Here as some examples:
Lol     =        Laughing out loud
Dis     =        This
Whr    =        Where
Ruok? =        Are you okay?
BRB    =        Be right back
Xlnt    =        Excellent
Gr8     =        Great
Any1   =        Anyone

This is the language of cell phones, instant messaging etc everywhere in the world.  Its function is to minimize the number of key strokes and punctuation needed to communicate a message.  It is officially called Short Message Service or SMS Language and here's a link to more information about it's development:

Parents, next time you possibly see a conversation of your son or daughter learning this language can help you understand!
