Save the date! Windows 8 will be launched on October 26th

Microsoft has finally announced the date for the launch of their much awaited Operating system Windows 8. 

Microsoft released the release preview of Windows 8 on 1st June, which is the final beta version of Windows 8 and was downloaded more than 1 million times in first 24 hours of its release. 

The number has increased to many more millions so far and it will be interesting to see how the number increases with the official launch on 26th October. I myself have been using Windows 8 release preview and it feels nice. The OS is stable and feels like the final build of Windows 8 but we may still see few small changes in the OS with the official launch. 

With Windows 8, Microsoft brings the uniformity among between PCs and Tablet PCs. The metro style UI is the strongest thing people are talking about Windows 8. Microsoft has also upgraded their popular Office Suite to Microsoft Office 2013 which blends the MS Office with Windows 8 Metro UI.
